Nap time = Fun Time

Nap time! What a glorious phrase!! A time to get dinner done, laundry started, the baby nursed a couple times and some baking done. However, in between that it's also some relaxation time, and for me relaxing means giving myself a manicure. So yesterday during nap time it was mani time!! I used the Sally Hansen nail polish strips for the first time yesterday and even though I only used it for an accent nail it was still tricky, however, after about ten tries and eight misses I can say with an almost certainty I got it!! I decided to go with white for the other nails and I had heard that if you use a matte topcoat in between coats the color won't be streaky and I tried it and it worked! I feel so smart knowing a 'hack' for lack of better word. :)

Also, for a quick potty update, Little Elf has taken to it like white on rice, he basically is day trained and now goes on the pot by himself with no prompting. Although we haven't had any success with number two yet I have no doubt it will come quickly. Baby Boy on the other hand, was not quite ready to be trained,
he was getting frustrated and is not recognizing the 'gotta go' feeling, so we will take a break and try again in a month or so because we definitely want potty training to be a good experience. Anyway I'm off to put the kiddos to bed and enjoy bedtime, another glorious phrase!!

A Day Out

Who knew going to the store could be such an ordeal, yesterday we went out to Target and Wal-Mart and it was quite an adventure! I have my own train when I go out, pushing a double stroller and pulling a cart, people are always commenting "Wow! You got your hands full!" To which I always reply "Yep, just a little." One guy actually stopped his wife to point out my train, not something you see everyday! ;) So of course while I was at Target I found the clearance nail polish and could I resist? Nope, in fact I got three! I know, I know!! I can't help it, I love painting my nails and trying all the colors, my hubby does not get it, he always says, how many colors do you need? And I say I don't know, how many tools do you need?

Potty Training 2.0

So here I am potty training again, I have been avoiding this for far too long, but the kids are ready and its time to stop procrastinating. Now, I know potty training is no ones favorite, but I have especially been avoiding it, since my first experience with my oldest child was rather difficult to say the least. Although I am pleased to say that so far this experience is nothing like the first one, thank goodness!! My first child who is currently 6 who we will call the "Big Man" took three years to potty train, partially because I was inconsistent and partially because he was stubborn. Now I am training my two middle boys, my three year old who we will call "Little Elf" has really seem to take to it and is already asking to pee on the potty after only four days of really hardcore potty training. Now my two year old who we will call "Baby Boy" is not so enthusiastic, he will pee if you leave him on the potty for long enough and of course he wants treats and stickers, but I don't think he fully understands the whole concept of potty training. So this time I have taken a totally different approach to the whole potty thing, I let the kids run around in the buck and then when they started peeing on the floor we run to the potty, and in between that we went to the pot about every twenty minutes or so, so in the past couple days I have cleaned up a lot of puddles, thank goodness we have tile, and have gotten peed on, head butted, spit up on etc. Meanwhile my poor little girl, my four month old that we will call "Love Bug" has gotten hardly any attention, but she has been a trooper along with her older brother who is helping mommy and encouraging his siblings. Thank goodness daddy has had a four day weekend to help me and keep me sane and keep the momentum going!! See ya later Mr. Diaper!!
